Summary
Responsible for executing the day to day activities of the Accounting Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Day to day finance and accounts operations and transactions
- Daily book-keeping of the company’s transactions in the accounting system, and ensuring timely closing of accounts
- Preparation of periodic financial statements and management accounts (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually and ad-hoc)
- Preparation of periodic regulatory returns and reports
- Ensure record keeping and procedures comply with regulatory requirements- auditors, government agencies and FCA inclusive.
- Daily clients’ money reconciliations and related excess/shortage settlement process
- Daily banks and Credit card reconciliations
- Daily booking of clients’ trades, deposits and withdrawals
- Daily reconciliation between trading system and accounting system
- Monthly Third-party reconciliations.
- Maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up
- Work consultatively and in close coordination with the respective Group offices
- Handling tax matters and preparation of VAT and other tax reports.
- Responsible for liaising and coordinating with external parties (auditors and advisors/consultants) on all matters related to finance, tax and prudential reports
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Skills and competencies
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in Excel
- Ideally ACA qualified

- Experience of working within retail forex / CFD firm
- Experience of dealing with Client money
- Experience of managing and mentoring a team
